These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Subconnet website (“Website”) and all listings, memberships and services provided through it. By accessing or using Subconnet, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.

1. About Us

Subconnet is a UK-based online construction directory platform connecting contractors, subcontractors, and construction professionals with potential clients.

  For the purpose of these Terms:

“We”, “Us”, “Our” means Subconnet. “User” means any visitor to the Website. “Member” means any business that creates a listing. “Client” means any individual or business contacting a Member via the Website.  

2. Eligibility

By creating a listing, you confirm that: You are at least 18 years old. You are legally authorised to operate your business in the UK. All information submitted is accurate, lawful and not misleading. You hold any required licences, insurance, qualifications, or certifications for your trade. We reserve the right to request proof of business registration, insurance, or accreditation at any time.

3. Membership Levels

3.1 Free Basic Listing (Free)

Includes:

• Up to 2 images
• Business name
• Contact details
• 1 trade category
• Service location
• Short business description
• H&S accreditations
• Area covered
• Location display
• CTA button (“Create Free Listing”)
• Free listings may include third-party advertisements displayed by Subconnet.

3.2 Featured Listing (Paid Subscription) Includes everything in the Free Basic Listing, plus:

• Priority placement within category listings
• Company logo display
• Project gallery
• Extended company profile
• Multiple trade categories
• Website link
• Featured badge
• Featured video and embedded video
• Professional memberships & accreditations display
• Minimum project value field
• No third-party ads displayed on the individual listing page
• Featured Listings are offered on a recurring monthly subscription basis unless otherwise stated.

4. Payments & Subscriptions (Featured Listings)

4.1 Subscription Fees

The Featured Listing is charged monthly at the rate displayed at the time of purchase.

4.2 Payment Terms

• Payment must be made in advance.
• Failure to pay may result in suspension or removal of the listing.
• Prices are stated in GBP (£) and may include VAT where applicable.

4.3 Automatic Renewal

Featured Listings automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

4.4 Cancellations

Members may cancel their subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided unless required by law.

4.5 Refund Policy

We do not guarantee leads, enquiries, or business outcomes. Payments are non-refundable except where required under UK consumer protection laws.

5. Listing Content & Responsibilities

Members are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of all listing content.
• Ensuring uploaded images, videos and descriptions do not infringe copyright.
• Maintaining up-to-date contact details and business information.
• Ensuring all claims (e.g., accreditations, memberships) are truthful and verifiable.

We reserve the right to:

• Edit formatting for consistency.
• Remove or suspend listings that contain misleading, unlawful, defamatory or inappropriate content.
• Remove listings that damage the integrity of the directory.

6. No Endorsement Inclusion in Subconnet does not constitute:

• Verification of qualifications.
• Endorsement of services.
• Guarantee of quality or reliability.
• Clients are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before engaging a Member.

7. Limitation of Liability

Subconnet acts solely as a directory platform.

We:

Are not party to any contract between Members and Clients. Are not responsible for disputes, workmanship issues, payment disagreements, or project outcomes. Do not guarantee enquiry volume, ranking permanence, or commercial success.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Subconnet shall not be liable for:

• Loss of profits
• Loss of business
• Loss of reputation
• Indirect or consequential loss

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

8. Intellectual Property

All website design, branding, text, graphics and software remain the property of Subconnet.

By uploading content, Members grant Subconnet a non-exclusive licence to:

Display the content on the Website. Use images and logos for promotional and marketing purposes related to Subconnet. Members retain ownership of their submitted materials.

9. Ranking & Visibility

Priority placement for Featured Listings is based on internal directory algorithms and category positioning.

We reserve the right to modify:

• Search result display.
• Layout and design.
• Ranking logic.
• No guarantees are made regarding specific positioning or lead volume.

10.  Ranking & Visibility We may suspend or terminate a listing if:

• Payment fails.
• False information is provided.
• The Member breaches these Terms.
• The listing damages the reputation of Subconnet.
• We reserve the right to remove any listing at our discretion.

11. Ranking & Visibility

All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK GDPR regulations. Members are responsible for complying with data protection laws when handling Client information.

12. Changes to Services

We reserve the right to:

• Modify membership features.
• Adjust pricing.
• Add or remove functionality.
• Reasonable notice will be provided for material changes affecting paid Members.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters
• Government restrictions
• Internet or hosting failures
• Cyberattacks

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
